Core Aeration is a vastly underrated service and is very beneficial in thickening your lawn. This happens by breaking up the compact soil to allow the roots of your grass to expand, resulting in a healthier and more luscious lawn. Oftentimes, if fertilization alone is not getting the desired results, aeration can give your lawn the extra push it needs to get the growth and green color you are expecting. Many customers have us perform the core aeration service every year to make sure their lawn is as healthy as it can possibly be.

This is a great way to create the proper biology to a lawn, help with green-up and improve moisture retention. Composting can be done alone or in combination with seeding and core aeration as detailed below.

Core Aeration, Overseeding and Composting
We mechanically core aerate the lawn in two directions, overseed and spray compost and a starter fertilizer application. We add a high nitrogen starter fertilizer application to be done at time of this service to expedite seed growth and feed your existing lawn. This helps to reduce compaction, creates holes for seedlings, covers the seed in a quarter inch of highly organic material while the starter fert provides additional nitrogen for a great head start on germination.

Core Aeration, Slice Seeding and Composting
We core aerate lawn in two directions, sliceseed and spray compost. Short of installing a new lawn- this method reduces compaction, creates holes and slits for seedlings, and then provides them proper nutrition with compost. An awesome combination to jump start your lawn!

Overseeding
Overseeding is best done in the fall. With the fall season, there is a terrific opportunity to get your lawn in the greatest shape possible. That period starts in mid-August and ends in September. During this brief time, conditions such as cooler temperatures are optimal for planting and germinating grass seed for a fuller, healthier looking lawn.

Fertilization Programs
Northeast Landscape Contractors knows having a luscious and vibrant green lawn is a prime way to bring your landscaping together and make your overall property look great. We strive to provide exactly that for customers who hire us for lawn care.
We offer four results-oriented Fertilization Programs: Gold Program with and without Moisture Management and Platinum Program with and without Moisture Management. With each program, high quality granular (dry) fertilizer is used in every round.
Fertilization Gold Program
Includes 6 rounds of turf fertilization plus a preventative grub treatment and lime treatment. Also includes free spot spraying of weeds at the time of visit. Additional requests for visits between rounds may incur additional charges.
Fertilization Gold Program w/ H2O: Includes 6 rounds of turf fertilization plus a preventative grub treatment, lime treatment and 3 rounds of Moisture Management. Also includes free spot spraying of weeds at time of visit. Additional requests for visits between rounds may incur additional charges.
Fertilization Platinum Program

Tree & Shrub Fertilization
This often overlooked but incredibly valuable service is here to protect your investment. The cost to replace your established tree/shrubs due to disease can be extremely costly. Price includes 4 Rounds of timely applied Tree & Shrub sprays and injection that span from controlling insect disease to root injections.
Tick & Flea Control
In addition to applications for fertilizer and moisture management, we also offer Tick & Flea Control. With our Tick & Flea control option, Northeast Landscape provides three timely applications of surface insect controls to turf and perimeter controlling target insects including: Ticks, Fleas, Ants, Centipedes, Chinch Bugs, Millipedes and Billbug. NEW! Moisture Management (H2O)
This is a new turf protection program provided by Northeast Landscape Contractors. We apply three treatments of a special moisture management product. When done in multiple rounds this special treatment maximizes turf recovery and mitigates effects from environmental stressors such as drought. Benefits include: Enhanced turf greening and reduced need for watering.
